Who I am

I grew up in Riga, Latvia–– a city so small that you could walk from one end to another in the matter of two hours (the Old Riga). It was the perfect place to grow up, with rich history in architecture all around (often called “Little Paris of the North”), the coast of the Baltic Sea, and never ending pine forests.

I didn’t grow up thinking of becoming a photographer, but rather an architect. I started my early university years studying architecture at Washington State University, but it just didn’t feel right. However, the fascination for design and spaces continued and I received my BFA in Interior Design years later at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.

I started my career as a photographer during my internship at the interior design firm which allowed me to explore spaces with no pressure. I fell in love with natural light and taking ambient photography of interior design, people, and food.

On Family

I met my husband through a dating site when I first moved to CO. He lived in Boulder and I was in Denver. We first met at a coffee shop and talked for hours. It felt natural— like we have known each other our whole existence. We fell in love fast. Fast forward to now, 8 years and some later, we have two beautiful daughters, Aspen Adaline and Flora Sigrid, and recently uprooted ourselves from Denver, CO to Dover, NH. We don’t know anyone just yet, but we’ve got each other… and truthfully, it is perfect.
